AniBoom.com: "The YouTube of Animation"?

I just bumped into this interesting article of aniboom.com at TechCrunch.com:

"Israeli Startup Aniboom has raise $4.5 million in an initial round of financing. At least that’s what TechCrunch France writer Ouriel Ohayon tells me this page says. The round was led by Israeli venture firm Evergreen.The site has very good user generated animated videos presented in a Flash player and embeddable in other websites."

These guys hold big contests--last contest they gave away $50,000. First place got $25,000 and 5 others got $5,000 based upon how they did in five sererate categories; which include Funny, Drama, Music Videos, Crappy, Experimental.

MySpace Rakes in $25 Million a Month

MySpace is pulling in about $25 million a month in ads and growing at a rate of 30% growth per quarter thanks to MySpace France and MySpace Australia.

This is what is the most interesting bit from Rupert Murdoch’s keynote interview in New York yesterday (shown below). He states that college students need FaceBook and recognizes Youtube as a major competitor.
